One week before the Exhibition, SBODIO32 hosted an Urban Re-generation workshop, called "Unfold: Moving Matter" aiming to approach the regeneration of a forsaken warehouse, named 'SBODIO32' based on an interactive ceiling installation that would generate a collective central space serving to be the focal point of the exhibition space. "Unfold" investigates how this active space exists beyond theory or a computer/animated space, decoding folds into tangible reality. The exploration of the interactive relationship of folding and material, form and structural behavior. The workshop was organized by Ezgaat Architects in collaboration with Noumena Architecture, NOUS Engineering, OpenDot, Politecnico di Milano and Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IaaC).
Professors and Tutors: Manja Van De Worp, Aldo Sollazzo, Efilena Baseta, Eugenio Morello, Ivica Covic, Barbara Piga.

SBODIO32 also hosted daily workshops dedicated to 3Dprinting and wearable technologies.
SBODIO32 also hosted several conferences, seminars, talks, and debates between young designers and influential designers like Marco Poletto and Claudia Pasquero from EcoLogicStudio, in which they discussed their innovation regarding the 2015 Expo's future food district solutions of building integrated urban agriculture throughout their pavilion Urban Algae Folly. On the other hand Mert Cek from RIMOND explained to us their innovative technique of digitally fabricating the desert textures for UAE Expo2015Pavilion designed by Foster+Partners.
A Carbon Fiber Design seminar was also held on the 4th day of the exhibition aiming to raise awareness among Architects, Designers and Engineers with regards to the use of carbon fibers in new areas of application compared to traditional ones, by exploiting and enhancing the technical features of the material: mechanical strength, weight and moldability; integrating 3Dprinting technology. On the last day, a we held a Wearable Technology Seminar, introducing the future of fashion and how we may be implementing technologies in our textiles and everyday wear. The first presentation by Secil Ugur is in the context of emotion sensors, her project "Social Skin" is a series of moving accessories that help to improve the communication between people by expressing their emotions. The second presentation by Margarita Medvedeva is in the context of 3D printed wearables and textiles custom made for your body and providing the ability to control and choose patterns as well as replacing them when needed. The project is an improvised process of dressing.
